About Jo
Jo Beck, a native Iowan, has lived in seven states but now considers the Eureka/Wildwood area her home. Since moving here in 1995, she has been active in local history groups and has written extensively on local history topics. She has a newspaper background, working for the Gazette Newspapers in Montgomery County, MD from 1986 to 1992 and for the Packet Newspaper Group in Princeton, NJ from 1992 to 1995. Her weekly column appeared on the opinion page of the Packet from 1992 to 1999. Her hobbies are reading, hiking, travel, photography and genealogy.
