As an example in the time from my other post (10:23PM) to now I was able to locate your address on Emerald Oaks Court (I also have your house number, but am not posting it). I was also able to find your age. Got that information using a quick Google search that anyone else could do.

Although using full names does allow all to identify each other it would also open those person's to possible harm. If you, for example, take offense to a position I hold you could locate me and show up at my front door. Not saying you would do that, but in this day in age you just never no. Also, some people like the ability to keep there identities secret so they may post with out fear of reprisal. Most web site forums do not require, or even encourage, the use a real names. Check out CNN, Stltoday, MSN, etcc and you will see very few people using their names.
