Annette Read is currently running for Committeewoman in Missouri River Township in St. Louis County, which includes areas of Ballwin, Chesterfield and Town & Country.

Annette is the only candidate endorsed by Senators Jane Cunningham, John Lamping and Jim Lembke, and State Representatives John Diehl and Speaker-Elect Tim Jones. Other endorsements include Mayor of Town & Country, Jon Dalton; Town & Country Alderman Fred Meyland-Smith; Treasurer of Monarch Fire District, Robin Harris; and former Town & Country Alderman, Jim Haven.

Annette has worked in politics since 2008, mostly on a volunteer basis. She and her sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Margaret Walker, founded iheardthepeoplesay.org in 2009. Annette led the statewide grassroots campaign for Prop C (Health Care Freedom Act) in 2010, resulting in a victory of 71%. She is pro-life and believes in Christian values.

Before political grassroots, Annette had a diverse background in sales, jewelry design and antiques. She also volunteered for years at local schools and churches. 

She and her husband, Ted, have lived in Chesterfield for about 15 years and have three grown sons. Their twon youngest sons graduated from Westminster Christian Academy. They like spending time with family and traveling when possible.
