El Nopal Restaurant Moves to Old Town Eureka

SNEAK A PEEK AT NEW PLACE: El Nopal Mexican Restaurant owners hope to reopen during December before the start of the New Year. A new party room will be part of the mix.

All the owners, manager and staff of El Nopal Mexican restaurant want for Christmas is to open in their new location! Customers who liked their margaritas and menu will be happy to know the restaurant is not leaving Eureka—they've been closed for the past three weeks so they remodel what used to be Johnny's Place restaurant in Old Town Eureka. Chevys Shuts Down; Mexican Meals Abound in Eureka, Wildwood

The Fresh Mex restaurant closed its Ellisville location this week. But for Mexican food enthusiasts, the nearby area has several Mexican options, including one restaurant that just opened last week.

Chevys Fresh Mex said "adios" to Ellisville patrons. The Chevys location, in the Dierbergs shopping plaza at Clarkson and Clayton Roads, closed its doors to operations this week, and appears to have all items marked for an auction. Thanks to Eureka-Wildwood Patch reader Mikel Garrett for cluing Patch in on the unfortunate business closing. For those still looking for a Chevys' fix, locations remain in Olivette; St. Louis Mills; O'Fallon, MO; South County and O'Fallon, IL. The St. Charles Chevys location also is closing by the end of September. However, Eureka and Wildwood diners have several Mexican food options in their backyards.
