Eureka-Wildwood Patch readers driving on Missouri Route 109 on Sunday around 10 a.m. were met with slow-going, due to an accident near Hidden Valley Ski Resort.
Slippery conditions due to Sunday's drizzle may have been a factor in an accident that occurred at Missouri Route 109 and Hidden Valley Forest in Wildwood. A driver from Arkansas overturned his car while heading north on Route 109, said a Wildwood police administrator. The driver told police he lost control and crossed the center line of the highway, then over-corrected. After that, he said he lost further control and the car eventually flipped. St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers said the driver was not injured. After another sweep of the area near Lafayette High School Thursday, police officers still are trying to determine exactly how alleged robbers of a Wildwood woman got into and out of her subdivision.
An armed robbery in Wildwood is a rare event, said Capt.
