$30,000 of Jewelry, Revolver, iPads Stolen: Wildwood Police Log

POLICE LOG Feb. 25-March 3: During the last week, Wildwood precinct police also handled a case of fraud and another case of identity theft. Drug paraphernalia also was found.

Following are recent incidences handled by St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers: Feb. 25: An accident happened on Missouri Route 109 and Highway BA; no injuries resulted. Feb. 26: A lost or stolen wallet, which was last seen at the Schnucks on Manchester Road, was reported. A vehicle was damaged with a object on Nantucket Meadows. A burglary was reported on Hencken Valley Estates Drive, with a forced entry gained through a rear door. Police indicated numerous items of jewelry were taken, which are valued at $30,000. Feb. 27: An accident occurred on Old State and Lakeshore Meadows; the driver was arrested on the suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). Feb. 28: An accident happened on Missouri Route 100 …

Armed Wildwood Man Charged with Terrorist Threats in Missouri Ozarks

After a standoff with law enforcers Sunday morning, a Wildwood man with guns was taken into custody by authorities and transported to the Pulaski County jail in Waynesville, MO, where he was charged Monday.

A Wildwood man is in custody after a gun-infused standoff with sheriff deputies at approximately 3:34 a.m. Sunday near Waynesville, MO, along State Highway 133 in the Ozarks. A 55-year-old male suspect, who authorities identified as a Wildwood resident, was taken into custody after threatening the employees of the Oasis Truck Plaza in Richland, MO, after they didn't purchase gun ammunition from him, as he demanded. The truck plaza is located near Interstate 44, Exit 145/MO133 at Richland. A $100,000 bond was set Monday on the Wildwood man, but his name has not yet been released. Pulaski County Sheriff's Department received a 911 phone call from the truck plaza's employees Sunday about a man who had entered the business to sell firearm …

Family Disturbances, Snow Tubing Trespassers: Wildwood Police Log

POLICE LOG Feb. 18-24: During the last week, Wildwood precinct police also handled more alcohol and drug violations—and a deer left the scene of an accident alive this time.

Following are recent incidences handled by St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers: Feb. 18 After a disturbance between father and son on Westglen Farms, the son was taken to an area hospital for mental evaluation. Feb. 19 An accident happened on Missouri Route 109 at Clayton; no injury resulted. Police were called to an open basement door on Mission Bay; the house was secured by a Wildwood officer. An accident, with minor injury, occurred on the parking lot at Hidden Valley Ski Resort. Feb. 20 Police officers had no notable activity to report. Burglar Enters Back Door, Macy's Account Attacked: Wildwood Police Log

POLICE LOG Feb. 11-17: We catch up on police-related activity after the Wildwood precinct moved to the new Wildwood City Hall building on Feb. 12. Occurrences included two attempted suicides and checking funds stolen.

Following are recent incidences handled by St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers: Feb. 11 Police officers had no notable activity to report. Feb. 12 An accident, with injury, occurred on Manchester Road in an unusual way. Police said the driver exited the vehicle without the shift gears being in the park position. The driver tried to re-enter the vehicle, and it ran over the driver’s feet. Police took a report of harassment by an acquaintance from a resident who lives on Sea Breeze. An apartment was entered into on Balsam Ridge, wherein a MacBook Pro was stolen. An accident, with injury, happened on Missouri Route 109 at Suzanne Ridge. POLICE LOG Jan. 28-Feb. 3: This past week, St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers took a report of stolen jewelry, for which the suspect is a home caregiver. Another resident had money stolen, perhaps from house cleaners.

Following are recent incidences handled by St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers: Jan. 28 An accident occurred at the intersection of Missouri Routes 109 and 100; no injury resulted. Some stolen property was recovered from the burglary that happened at a Wildridge residence reported in the just previous Eureka-Wildwood Patch police log; the items were located in the woods. Woman Caught Driving Drunk in Wildwood, Police Say

The Webster Groves woman has two previous DWI convictions, according to St. Louis County Police.

A woman faces felony charges after St. Louis County prosecutors said she was driving drunk near the Missouri Route 109 and Shepard Road intersection in Wildwood. Christine Baichly, 29, of the 8200 block of Watson Road in Webster Groves, was charged Jan. 7 with driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender. Baichly has two previous DWI convictions, once on June 17, 2008, in Kirkwood and another on Nov. 18, 2008, in Arkansas. St. Louis County Police said Baichly was stopped for a traffic violation at 9:48 p.m. Feb. 6, 2012, at the Missouri Route 109 (Eatherton Road) and Shepard Road intersection. Wildwood Nursery Owner Charged With Failing to Pay Minimum Wage

Nursery owner, who is one of the workers paid less than minimum wage, said he was caught in cash crunch when he wasn't paid for another project.

A nursery owner and his business have been charged with 38 counts of failing to comply with the federal minimum wage law while completing a landscaping project for the Mehlville Fire Protection District in February and March 2012. The prosecuting attorney's charges indicate that Farinella Nursery Landscaping in Wildwood failed to pay four workers at least $7.25 per hour for completing landscaping on the new Mehlville Fire Protection District Firehouse No. 3. One of the four workers not paid the federal minimum wage was the nursery owner himself, Ramondo Farinella.
