POLICE LOG March 4-10: During the last week, Wildwood precinct police also handled another burglary at a home from which $124,000 worth of money and jewelry were stolen. Three other attempted burglaries happened as well.
Following are recent incidences handled by St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers: March 4 An accident occurred on Missouri Route 109 at Rocky Ridge; no injury resulted. March 5 An attempted burglary was made to a home on Wills Trace. Police received a call from a burglar alarm, and found someone had attempted to kick in a rear basement door. POLICE LOG Feb. 11-17: We catch up on police-related activity after the Wildwood precinct moved to the new Wildwood City Hall building on Feb. 12. Occurrences included two attempted suicides and checking funds stolen.
Following are recent incidences handled by St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers: Feb. 11 Police officers had no notable activity to report. Feb. 12 An accident, with injury, occurred on Manchester Road in an unusual way. Police said the driver exited the vehicle without the shift gears being in the park position. The driver tried to re-enter the vehicle, and it ran over the driver’s feet. Police took a report of harassment by an acquaintance from a resident who lives on Sea Breeze. Kirkwood Police said two men stole NFC championship and Big 12 championship rings among other items from the home. One of them also was charged with burglarizing a Wildwood home.
Two men stole more than $28,000 in electronics and jewelry, including NFC championship ring and Big 12 championship rings, on Dec. 31, from the Kirkwood home of Rob Boras, the St. Louis Rams tight ends coach. James Bright, of the 6200 block of Sunshine Drive in High Ridge, and Jeffrey Medcalf, of the 1100 block of Briarhurst in West County, were charged Friday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing more than $25,000, a class B felony. Bright also was charged Saturday with burglarizing a Wildwood home on Dec. 7. Kirkwood Police said the men broke into Boras’ home at about 1:28 p.m. Dec. 31. A High Ridge man burglarized a Wildwood home in early December, and also pawned gold Edward Jones jewelry, St. Louis County Police said. James S. Bright, 25, of the 6200 block of Sunshine Drive in High Ridge, was charged Saturday with second-degree burglary, felony theft and receiving stolen property. St. Louis County Police said Bright broke into a home in the 500 block of Nantucket Pointe Drive in Wildwood between 7:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Dec. 7. According to the police report, he stole an autographed sports jersey, 46-inch flat-screen TV and an iMac computer monitor. Bright also is charged with selling a gold Edward Jones insignia ring with diamonds, a gold wedding ring and an Edward Jones anniversary gold pin on Dec. 8. He was captured …
