Mississippi River Bridge Construction to Close I-70 Lanes Overnight Friday

Drivers heading downtown on Interstate 70 this weekend may want to consider alternative routes, as Missouri Department of Transportation employees will close various lanes on the interstate this weekend. Crews will place girders over the interstate as part of work to connect the future new Mississippi River Bridge to Cass Avenue. The following lanes and ramps will be closed: Friday evening rush period drivers heading into the city may want to consider other routes due to potential congestion on eastbound I-70. Overnight Friday, drivers should allow themselves extra time to get to their destinations, or take alternate routes. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:
