Property owners of homes that host illegal drug use and underage drinking in some municipalities can be held accountable for the consequences, even if those adult owners are not present during the parties.
Allegations from a West St. Louis County mother saying her daughter may have been slipped a dangerous new synthetic drug called N-Bomb at a New Year's Eve party in Wildwood are being actively investigated. Capt. Ken Williams, commander of St. Louis County Police's Wildwood Precinct, confirmed with Patch the address of the associated party is within Wildwood's city limits. Williams said the Chesterfield mother, Carley Alves, contacted Wildwood police officers about her concerns about a day or two after the alleged incident. St. Louis County Police officers state a 23-year-old Wildwood male recently was found to have marijuana after they responded to a traffic-related incident in which he was allegedly involved.
The following information was supplied by the St. Louis Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made. Thomas Welch Shea, a 23-year-old Wildwood resident, was charged by St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers on Wednesday, Oct. 10, with the suspicion of possessing 35 grams or less of marijuana. St. Louis County Police Department media relations officer Randy Vaughn informed Patch an officer contacted Shea after receiving a radio-dispatched call for a van stuck in a ditch near Melrose and Ossenfort roads in Wildwood. Police Log: Two laptops were stolen. Three assaults were investigated last week by Wildwood police officers, plus more accidents and trespassing occurred.
St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood (6th) Precinct officers responded to the following developments between Sept. 17-23: A laptop was taken from an unlocked vehicle on Ridge Bend on Sept. 17. Police were called to an assault investigation on Maple Crossing on Sept. 18. A traffic stop involved an arrest for a drug violation and stolen property from another agency on Sept. 19. Police were called to another assault investigation on Lakeshore Terrace on Sept. 19. Property located on Manchester Road was destroyed on Sept. 19. Another bout of accidents occurred in Wildwood during the first weekend of this month. Although the accidents were without injuries, four out of the six had a common factor: Missouri Route 109.

Police logs indicate all other reported activities for that weekend were accidents, all without injuries.
