Peabody Leaders in Education Award Goes to Rockwood CCL Teacher

This Rockwood School District teacher was called "a connected educator who values collaboration and interaction as an important part of education."

Karen Giesler, a third-grade teacher at the Center for Creative Learning (CCL), was named a Peabody Energy Leaders in Education award recipient, according to a Monday news announcement from the Rockwood School District.  Giesler is in her 21st year as a gifted education teacher. The CCL program includes students from all four of Rockwood's geographic quandrants. The Peabody Energy Leaders in Education program supports educators who foster the future workforce and prepare students to compete in a global marketplace.
