St. Louis County Police said officers found Bobby Bird and Kaleb Briggs outside the burglarized house.
Two men were caught in the backyard of a Wildwood home they burglarized Monday, St. Louis County Police said. Bobby Bird, 28, of Wildwood, and Kaleb Briggs, 28, each were charged Tuesday with second-degree burglary and felony theft. St. Louis County Police said Bird and Briggs were arrested in the backyard of a home in the 100 block of Cherry Hills Meadows Drive in Wildwood. Police said they had just left the house at about 1:55 p.m. Monday and had a silver necklace and three gold rings taken from the home. Value of the stolen jewelry was estimated at $1,500. Leslie Jones got frustrated looking for the perfect charms to represent her family. “I was looking for charms in the images of my children,” the Wildwood wife and mother of two recalled. “As I was unable to find such charms, I looked into creating the charms myself.” Her initial efforts worked out so well that Jones opened her own online store, Charming Silhouettes, where she’s been designing and selling unique charms, earrings and necklaces since 2010. Jones’ creations are one-of-a-kind. She begins by using computer graphics to create a silhouette or image from a customer’s photograph or drawing, then laser engraves the image onto a custom made hypo-allergenic stainless steel charm. Jewelry vendors at the Wildwood Farmers' Market provide many, unique pieces from which to choose.
Three jewelry vendors offered customized pieces at the Wildwood Farmers' Market last weekend. "We like to have a variety of vendors as we continue to grow the market," said Glenn Gaehle, market manager. Silpada designs had a large selection of pieces including rings, earrings and necklaces. Debbie Sinn is an independent representative for Silpada and said she was excited to be participating in the farmers' market this year. She also offers Silpada home shows, catalog sales, and personal consultations. Pure Elegance owner and designer, Amy Krebs, hand-makes all of her pieces. Many consist of silver, pearls and gemstones.
