Ice Age Artist Visits Rockwood Valley Middle School
A professional animation technician demonstrated tips about her work on movies such as Horton Hears a Who and The Green Lantern.
Students taking business information technologies and design studio art at Rockwood Valley Middle School in Wildwood learned about computer animation during a visit from Heather Carpini, a professional in this field. Carpini, who is the stepdaughter of Rockwood Valley Middle teacher Janice Carpini, has worked on several animated films during her career including Ice Age: Continental Drift; Horton Hears a Who; and The Green Lantern. During Carpini's classroom session, she showed students the process of making an animated movie and discussed basic art techniques, renderings and computer techniques used.
