Pacific Woman Dies in Truck Crash Near Eureka

Thursday morning, a Pacific driver lost control and struck a guardrail before her truck was hit by a trailer truck driver as she bounced back across the roadway.

Mary Rallo, a 55-year-old Pacific resident, died in a truck crash that occurred Thursday at 7:52 a.m. She was driving on U.S. Highway 66, 1 mile west of Dozier Crossing near Eureka, when Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers said she lost control of her 2003 Dodge Dakota. Rallo's truck struck a guardrail on the right, and traveled across Highway 66 before striking a guardrail on the left. As her truck was traveling back across the highway, authorities said it was hit by a 2013 Kenworth T660 trailer truck driven by Michael Middleton from North Las Vegas, NV. Middleton is 54 years old, and was wearing his safety belt. Rallo was not wearing her safety belt, according to the highway patrol report. Rallo was pronounced dead at the accident …

Funeral for 22-Year-Old After Fatal Crash to be Held Friday

An early morning, single-auto accident on Saturday left a Gray Summit family now without their son. Services are this week.

Richard Zufall, a 22-year-old from Gray Summit, will be buried in Wildwood Friday in the Bethel Cemetery, after he died in a Saturday accident that occurred at 2:22 a.m. Zufall was heading westbound on Missouri Route 100, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, about 3.5 miles east of Route MM, when he missed a curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway. His 1992 Ford F150 hit a tree and overturned. According to highway patrol officers, Zufall's safety belt was damaged during the accident and he was ejected from his truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a Franklin County deputy. His body was transported to the St. Louis County Morgue. His trucked was totaled and towed from the accident area by Hyrndrich Towing. Fatal Accident Occurs on Highway 30

A House Springs woman died Thursday after she was taken by an Air Evacuation crew to Mercy Medical Center due to injuries she sustained in a two-auto accident.

June Rowden, 79, died as a result of injuries from a two-car collision that occurred at 9:30 a.m. Thursday on Highway 30 at Cedar Hill Road. According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, Rowden was driving a 1991 Ford Escort, and attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of eastbound Highway 30. She pulled into the path of Cedar Hill resident Joshua Mattingly. Mattingly, 33, was driving a 2002 Dodge Stratus. The front of his vehicle struck the passenger side of Rowden's car. Rowden was not wearing a safety belt, according to authorities, but Mattingly was. Both vehicles were totaled.

House Springs Man Fatally Injured in Pickup Accident

An 80-year-old man from nearby House Springs died in an early Friday morning pickup truck accident.

Gene Keough, an 80-year-old House Springs man, died at 1:35 a.m. Friday morning when the 2007 Dodge Dakota pickup truck he was driving on South Byrnesville Road traveled off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. The accident happened at South Byrnesville Road, south of Indian Valley Road in Jefferson County, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol report. He was wearing a safety belt, stated authorities, but the truck was totaled. Keough was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene of the accident, and his body was taken to the St. Louis County Morgue by Schaeffers Mortuary.
