A Webster University artist lends a brush.
Chick-n-Ellys restaurant in Eureka recently completed some interior renovations to go along with a new menu. One branded wall is the handiwork of an employee there who also is a Webster University student. Mandy Ercoli graduated from Eureka High School, and now is pursuing an art degree. She said she especially enjoys drawing. The face lift from this Eureka resident of the main dining room wall makes it very inviting. Owners Jennifer and Nick Leiber indicated Eureka Computer Solutions designed the new menu, which includes a new burger or 10 new chicken wing flavors. The lighting also is new at the restaurant, and the benches have been redone.

Owners of a new Eureka restaurant will offer dining, catering and carryout orders. Get ready to take their big burger challenge—maybe as soon as Tuesday or Wednesday.
Owners of Gibby's restaurant at 108C Hilltop Village in Eureka hope to officially open this week. They renovated the former retail space rented by Rich & Charlie's restaurant, and now have completed all the St. Louis County health inspection requirements. Editor's Note: Calling the restaurant at 636-777-2333 to verify the opening and hours is strongly suggested before heading there for a meal. (See previously published article from Nov. 18: New Restaurant to Open in Eureka) Jeff Geiser, one of three brothers involved, said he has been in the restaurant business for the past 15 years. They opened Gibby's in St. Clair, MO, last fall. They also own Cecil Whittaker's in Washington, MO. Tony will be taking the lead on the new eatery in Eureka…

O'Dell's Irish Pub & Ale House currently offers bar service, with food to be added later this month. How about trying Big Sky Moose Drool Ale?
Casey O'Dell hopes 2012 is a great year that comes with a little 'luck of the Irish.' He and his mother opened a new bar and restaurant in Eureka on Dec. 30, just in time to have a training weekend for staff that catered to New Year's Eve revelers. Called O'Dell's Irish Pub & Ale House, only bar service is available at this time. O'Dell said they hope to finish work on the kitchen and to offer their food menu within the next two weeks. "We're living the dream," said O'Dell, who has 15 years of previous hospitality experience. His mother has owned the building located at 141 S. Central Ave. for the past 10 years. They spent the last couple of months transforming it into a pub. O'Dell's was filled with blarney (an Irish term for gift of …

Gibby's restaurant owners from St. Clair, MO, are remodeling the former location operated as a Rich & Charlie's restaurant in Eureka.
Remember the following fun, food commercial? If it says Libby's, Libby's, Libby's on the label, label, label — you will like it, like it, like it, on your table, table, table. Creators of the Libby’s jingle indicate it reminds families about the joys of gathering around meal tables for good conversation, good times and good food. Next month in Eureka, a similar, new jingle can be used for hungry customers gathering at a new food restaurant scheduled to be open around Dec. 1 at 108C Hilltop Village: If it says Gibby's, Gibby's, Gibby's... Jeff Geiser, representing Gibby’s, applied for a full liquor and Sunday full liquor at Tuesday's Eureka board of aldermen meeting. He told the aldermen most of their intended liquor sales would be beer …

Construction is under way on a new restaurant in Eureka that will be different from any others in town. The new eatery will feature flaky, fried pies of all types. The fruit and nut pies come in many flavors, including pineapple, pecan, peach, apricot, apple, blackberry and cherry. “All of our fruit pies can be made sugar free,” said Agnes Wong, a Wildwood resident who is part owner of the shop. In addition to fruit and nut fillings, they have cream pies made in lemon, vanilla, coconut and chocolate flavors. Customers can fold in any fruits or nuts into a cream filling to customize their pie. The restaurant will have pies for breakfast, including sausage, egg and cheese and bacon, egg and cheese. For lunch or dinner, the various pies …
