The woman told Eureka Police that Eldar Gyunashev told her he was going to kill her that night.
Eureka Police Department officers pulled a car over Friday after they received a 911 call about it being driven erratically on westbound Interstate 44. Police said the driver was swerving from shoulder to shoulder. But when the car was stopped, a woman, who was covered in blood, jumped from it. Police said the woman’s boyfriend, Eldar Gyunashev, 33, stabbed her in the face Friday, and threatened to kill her. The stab wound caused trauma that will require oral surgery, according to a court document. Police said Gyunashev also was covered in blood. A Eureka man faces felony charges after police pulled his car over at Dreyer and Central avenues in Eureka. Alan K. Grant, 51, of the 600 block of Legends View Drive in Eureka, was charged Feb. 11 with driving while intoxicated (DWI) as an aggravated offender, a class C felony. He has three previous DWI convictions. Eureka Police said an officer pulled Grant’s car over at 11:10 p.m. July 23, after he saw his car swerving on Dryer Avenue. The officer said he smelled a strong odor of alcohol, and saw Grant’s eyes were watery and bloodshot. Grant did poorly on a sobriety test and admitted he “had a pint,” according to a police report. Zachary Martin beat up his grandfather Feb. 5 in the 400 block of Eagle Pointe Landing, Eureka Police said.
A 17-year-old Eureka man faces criminal charges after police said he beat his 68-year-old grandfather, breaking his ribs. Zachary Martin, 17, of the 700 block of Vista Hills Court in Eureka, was charged Feb. 13 with second-degree elder abuse. Eureka Police said Martin beat his grandfather Feb. 5 in the 400 block of Eagle Pointe Landing Drive in Eureka. A Jefferson County woman faces criminal charges after police said she used a doctor’s information to illegally obtain prescription medication from a Eureka pharmacy. Kathleen Siebert, 52, of the 7000 block of Marble Arch Lane in Jefferson County near Cedar Hill, was charged last Friday with three counts of fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance. Eureka Police said Siebert called in prescriptions to Schnuck’s Pharmacy in Eureka using a physician's DEA number. Siebert called into the pharmacy and obtained prescriptions for Floricet between Dec. 31 and May 1, for alprazolam between April 30 and May 28, and for lorazepam on May 18. A Eureka man faces criminal charges after police said he nearly struck an officer with his SUV Monday in a Richmond Heights parking garage. The man also faces a burglary charge in Eureka. Brian Rasdall, 32, of the first block of Hawk Hill Drive in Eureka, was charged last Monday with second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer. He also was charged Sept. 27 with second-degree burglary and misdemeanor stealing in Eureka. A Eureka man was charged July 19 with third-degree domestic assault and assaulting an officer. Eureka Police Department officers said in a report that Timothy Devine, 30, of the 200 block of North Virginia Lane, argued with his girlfriend about 7:55 a.m. July 19 and punched her in the face. Eureka police arrived and later told Devine his girlfriend was pressing charges. Devine then spat at the officer and tried to kick her, according to the report. Bond was set at $2,000, cash only. Eureka Police Department officers said the man was exposing himself in the local Walmart parking lot.
A Cuba, MO, man has been charged with second-degree sexual misconduct in a Sept. 17 incident in the Eureka Walmart Supercenter parking lot. Eureka police said in a report that a witness saw Michael Lumley, 54, of Cuba, MO, exposing and touching his genitals in his vehicle while parked in the parking lot. Charges were filed by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office March 30. Lumley has a previous conviction of sexual misconduct in 2002 in Franklin County.
