Memorial for Marcella Bell

Marcella Bell (nee Wallach) died Thursday. This Eureka resident was 88 years old. She was the wife of the late Victor Bell. She was the sister of Daniel Wallach, Stanley (Clara) Wallach, Raymond (Jeanette) Wallach, Luke (Maureen) Wallach, Alfred (Jean) Wallach, MaryAnn (Spencer) Waddell, Rose Bukowsky, Elizabeth Jane (Gerald) Mason and the late Arthur Wallach and Wendell Wallach. She was the sister-in-law of the late Georgianna Wallach. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Schrader Funeral Home, 108 N. Central Ave. in Eureka. Marjorie Kraus died Wednesday, at age 93. She was a Eureka resident. She was the mother of Joan (Ed) Funke and Mark (Cheryl) Kraus. She was a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the sister of Jack (Lolly) Nischwitz. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Schrader Funeral Home, 108 N. Central Avenue in Eureka. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Most Sacred Heart Church of Eureka. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial for Robert Bennett

Robert Bennett died Tuesday, at age 45. He was the son of Robert and Mary Lee Bennett. He was the brother of Crystal (Luke) Bennett. He also was the fiancée of Jenny Gamble, as well as uncle of Marley Henderson and nephew of Marcia (Jeffrey) Deleiko. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday at the Schrader Funeral Home, 108 N. Central Ave. in Eureka. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Most Sacred Heart Church of Eureka. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery in Wildwood. Memorial for LaVerne Travers

Visitation for this Eureka resident is Friday, and a funeral service follows Saturday morning.

LaVerne Travers died Tuesday, at age 94. She was a Eureka resident. She was the wife of the late William George Travers, and mother of Richard (Phyllis) Travers, Claire Levvintre, Mary Ann (Dave) Rohan, Larry (and the late Terry) Travers, John (Lesley) Travers, William (Theresa) Travers, Christine (Tom) Bender, and Vincent Travers. She also was grandmother of 21 and great grandmother of 25. She was an accomplished seamstress and machine-knitter.   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Schrader Funeral Home, 108 North Central Ave. in Eureka. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Jerry T. Donovan died Friday. He was the husband of the late LaVerne Donovan (nee Boemler). He was the father of Rhonda (David Engel) Donovan and Bryan (Lisa) Donovan. He was the grandfather of Jennifer, Amber, Brendan and Christopher Donovan, and great-grandfather of Landon Schenk. He was the brother of Joseph Donovan and the late William (Doris) Donovan. He served as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church in Eureka. He worked for St. Louis County Water Company for 40 years. Janice "Jan" Long (nee Burger) died Saturday, at the age of 87. She was the wife of the late Wilbert "Wib" Long; mother of Randy (Robyn) Long and Laurie (Bob) Esterlein; grandmother of Sara (Steve) McFarlane, Mandi Long, Jamie (Jordan) Crain and Chris Esterlein; great-grandmother of Quinn McFarlane; and sister of Marilyn (Ed) Wandersee. Her involvement in the Eureka community spanned over five decades. She was the retired chair of Long Ford Sales Inc., Double 4 Trailer Sales, 44 Auto Credit and Long's Auto Center. She served on the board of directors of Rockwood Bank, of which she and her husband, Wib, were two of the original founders. She also acted as an ambassador of the Eureka Chamber of Commerce. Memorial for Howard "Bill" Flagg

Howard William "Bill" Flagg died Thursday, at the age of 71. He was the father of Darin (Tammy Nguyen) Flagg. He also was the grandfather of Keagan Flagg. He was the best friend of Conie Flagg. He was the brother of Barbara Sunfield, Kay Shelton, Mary Ann Eatherton, Frannie Eagan, Theresa Bunch, James Flagg and Raymond Flagg. He is preceded in death by his sisters: Antoinette McKenna, Patricia Lippert, Nancy Dent and MaDonna Greer, as well as brothers: Lawrence Flagg and Dennis Flagg. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Schrader Funeral Home, 108 North Central, in Eureka. Shirley Roush, (formerly Hawkins), died Thursday. She was the wife of the late Ronald Roush; mother of Sandra (Dale) Bailey, Lynn (Mike) Collins, Terry (Jackie) Hawkins, Sharon (Dave) Rootz and the late Jeffrey Hawkins; and sister of Aldine Mayo. She was the grandmother of 10; and great-grandmother of nine. She was a resident of Marymount Manor in Eureka. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Salem Lutheran Church, 5180 Parker Rd. in Florissant. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Clemens Petschel died Wednesday, at age 81. He was the husband of Mary Rose Petschel (nee: Hughes) for 53 years. He was the father of Brian (Cathy) Petschel, Michele (Dave) McCartney, Mark (Deborah) Petschel, Sharon (Gregg) Grigaitis, Teresa (Jeff) Roediger and Mary (Matt) Weiss. He also was the grandfather of 17: Collin, Megan, Christopher, Mary Catherine, Dillon (Maegan), Trese, Carly, Scott, Katie, Andrew, Blake, Libby, Garrett, Grace, Ava, Connor and Jack. Brother of Patricia (Gene) Mohan, Joan (the late Albert) Marshall and the late Mary Catherine Petschel. Memorial for Oliver Kiehm

Private arrangements for this World War II veteran were handled by the Schrader Funeral Home in Eureka.

Oliver Kiehm died in Pacific on Friday, at age 89. He was the husband of the late Anna Kiehm (nee Kristen). They were married for 56 years. He was the father of Robert (Susan) Kiehm of Eureka. He was the grandfather of Nathan Kiehm of Oakville, and Rene (Chris) Del Rey of California. He was the step-grandfather of Erin (Scott) Edge of Montana and Ryan (Tori) Inkley of Sunset Hills. He was the great grandfather of Klayton, Bennett, and Braedyn.   He was a member of the Pomegranate Masonic Lodge 95 for 65 years. He retired from Union Camp (International Paper) in 1985. He served in the Phillipines in WWII in the Army's Americal Division. His family said he was an avid fisherman. Private interment services were held at Jefferson Barracks …
