Wanted: New or Gently Used Shoes
Did you know Wildwood City Hall became a collection location for The infamous Shoeman Water Project? Donors can drop off shoes in the lobby.
Wildwood city officials want residents to know city hall is a donation site for The Shoeman Water Projects. Shoeman Water Projects collects thousands of used and new shoes, which are then exported to roadside shoe vendors in Kenya, Haiti, and South America. The shoe vendors then have shoes to sell at affordable prices to people who might otherwise not be able to purchase them. Shoes protect the new owner's feet from foot abrasions and infections. Funds generated from the export of shoes provide well drilling rigs, water purification systems, and hand pump repair. People who thirst, receive fresh drinking water. This effort is another great way to recycle! Read previous articles about this nonprofit effort: A 'Shoe'-In: Kenya's Newest Water…
