Man Stabbed Girlfriend in Face While Driving on I-44, Police Pulled Couple Over for Weaving

The woman told Eureka Police that Eldar Gyunashev told her he was going to kill her that night.

Eureka Police Department officers pulled a car over Friday after they received a 911 call about it being driven erratically on westbound Interstate 44. Police said the driver was swerving from shoulder to shoulder. But when the car was stopped, a woman, who was covered in blood, jumped from it. Police said the woman’s boyfriend, Eldar Gyunashev, 33, stabbed her in the face Friday, and threatened to kill her. The stab wound caused trauma that will require oral surgery, according to a court document. Police said Gyunashev also was covered in blood. Officers recovered two knives from the vehicle, including one drenched with blood. Gyunashev, of the 1200 block of Victory Drive in Mehlville, was charged Saturday with first-degree domestic …

Wildwood Woman Stabs Boyfriend Twice in the Head

The woman was charged with second-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.

A woman stabbed her boyfriend twice in the head Tuesday in Wildwood after the two argued. Achrista Malamut (correct spelling), 33, of the 100 block of Carriage View Drive in Wildwood, was charged with second-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. Officer Randy Vaughn of St. Louis County Police said the man told officers Malamut woke him up and asked him to forge a name on some closing documents. When he refused, she picked up the knife and stabbed him, he said. Malamut told police she woke him up because she wanted his rent money, Vaughn said. The two argued, and there was a steak knife nearby. Malamut told police she grabbed the knife because she was afraid the man would grab it first. She then stabbed him twice in the head. …

Wildwood Man Threatens to Kill Girlfriend with Belt Around Her Neck, Police Say

The man continued to utter threats to the woman as he rode in the squad car, according to a police report.

A Wildwood man faces a criminal charge after putting a belt around his girlfriend’s neck and threatening to kill her, St. Louis County Police said. Nicholas Lantz, 27, of the 3700 block of Bouquet Road, was charged Sept. 19 with third-degree domestic assault. St. Louis County Police said Lantz and his girlfriend were arguing when he pushed her down, put a belt around her neck and threatened to kill her. Police said they believe he is a danger to the woman. While in the police car on the way to jail, Lantz said three times, “I will snap that (woman’s) neck.” Bail was set at $5,000, cash only. Eureka Man Charged with Assaulting Girlfriend, Officer

An officer said the man spat at and tried to kick her.

A Eureka man was charged July 19 with third-degree domestic assault and assaulting an officer. Eureka Police Department officers said in a report that Timothy Devine, 30, of the 200 block of North Virginia Lane, argued with his girlfriend about 7:55 a.m. July 19 and punched her in the face. Eureka police arrived and later told Devine his girlfriend was pressing charges. Devine then spat at the officer and tried to kick her, according to the report. Bond was set at $2,000, cash only.
