This is the second reported attempted burglary at a Eureka business that is going out of business. Police officers also responded to the following developments between Sept. 1-8, including identity theft and a runaway juvenile at The Legends.
Following are recent incidences handled by Eureka Police Department officers: The owner of The Angels Garden at 619 W. Fifth Street in Eureka discovered an unknown person or persons pried one of the doors to her business on Sept. 4, but no entry was gained. Police report no suspects or witnesses to the attempted break-in. Not long ago, on Aug. 27, police handled another attempted burglary at the same business. A warrant for an arrest was processed at Eureka City Hall on Sept. 1. Police were called to a domestic assault incident at a residence located on Hickory Hall Drive on Sept. 2.
