Celebrate Christmas This Weekend in and near Eureka, Wildwood

Looking to get into the holiday spirit? Here are some things to do in West St. Louis County this weekend.

From seeing ol' St. Nick in person to helping out a good cause for the holidays, there's lots in West St. Louis County to do to celebrate the Christmas season this year. Check this roundup of events shared with Patch in the area to find the best ones for you, your friends and family this weekend. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14 St. Louis Green Holiday Light Recycling Drive: This ongoing drive allows you to drop off your used holiday lights at area Walmart locations and benefit Operation Food Search at the same time. Real Christmas Trees Await

Several sources for precut Christmas trees in Eureka and Wildwood offered them since before Thanksgiving. Here's a summary of what they provide and when.

At least three local sources for live Christmas trees are available:  Boy Scout Troop 322 in Eureka, Living Word United Methodist in Wildwood and Nina's Produce in Eureka. The Boy Scout Troop's lot is established at the front of the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter, off of Fifth St. at 131 Eureka Towne Center Dr. Their hours of operations are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends, and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays. Prices start around $25. This troop is sponsored by Eureka United Methodist Church. Their Christmas tree lot will close for the year on Dec. 23. Living Word's Christmas tree lot are 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Nina's Produce has trees up to 15 feet tall. The store is open seven…

Thank you for the overwhelming support from the community. The Boy Scout Troop 322's tree lot is sold out of trees. This year's lot is considered a huge success and the boys are looking forward to giving back to the community in the coming year.   more ›
