Save Haven Mark Glass, Patch blogger: **½ The quiet drama, based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks, plods along as its inevitable romance blossoms, with some helpful advice from her other new friend - an attractive neighbor (Cobie Smulders), who seems nearly as secretive about her own backstory as our leading lady on the lam. We like Hough’s character, and hope she’s not really the perp of the pursuit, but don’t discover the truth of why she landed there for longer than the plot requires. Expect more focus on finding love than solving crimes as the tale unfolds. The action eventually picks up for a rather farfetched climax, with a welcome little perk at the end. If you find…

Construction of the new Wildwood City Hall on the western edge of Town Center is progressing in a very noticeable manner now. Have you been by there lately?
For anyone going to a B&B Theatres Wildwood 10 movie or staying at The Wildwood Hotel, it is hard not to notice the new construction occurring between these two landmarks in the western corner of Town Center at the address for Wildwood's new City Hall: 16860 Main St. Last fall, Wildwood city council members awarded a $5.9 million contract to K&S Associates to build a new city hall and police facility on city-owned property there. K&S Associates presented the lowest bid for the project among 10 responding contractors. The new facility was approved by voters during April 2010, after residents from each of the city's wards served on a volunteer City Hall Steering Committee and after a series of public forums were held about the project to …

One shouldn't really ask another movie-goer if they liked this movie; liking or disliking doesn't seem to fit it. Movie-goers experience this film. The correct question after this movie is: How do you FEEL about it?
The movie, The Hunger Game, is like looking into a rippling mirror of society. Approximately 750 movie-goers of all ages had that opportunity at midnight on Thursday for the film's debut at B&B Theatres Wildwood 10. B&B district manger John Cumins said four of their theaters quickly sold out, so he opened a fifth one. Based upon a widely successful book series by author Suzanne Collins deemed to be in the "dystopian" category, the plot is about a future world under strict societal control. B&B Theatres' staff of 10 dressed up in the spirit of the movie's characters, as did many of the attendees. B&B host, Samantha Orlowski and senior at Lafayette High School in Wildwood, greeted people donned like the movie's main character, Katniss …

Area movie-goers enjoy working at and attending new local theater.
Hollywood came to Wildwood when B&B Theatres Wildwood 10 cinemas opened Oct. 1. The 30,000 square-foot movie theater provides a star-like ambiance, beginning with the art deco external building design all the way in to the innovative marquee suites with plush, reclining leather seats. Located in Wildwood’s Town Center, the theater was the first in the St. Louis area with all-digital projection, including all 10 auditoriums. The location also was one of the first theaters in Missouri, and one of the first in the world, to be built without a projection booth. It is B&B's second all-digital theater in Missouri. The company has theaters in Kansas and Oklahoma, in addition to the Show Me state. Paul Farnsworth, manager of the Wildwood …
