Overcorrecting Leads to Overturning

A House Springs woman was transported to an area hospital Tuesday morning after the truck she was driving overturned.

A House Springs driver was taken to the hospital after a 9:30 a.m. accident Tuesday on Highway BB, south of Oak Crest Road in Jefferson County. Tracie Smith, 47 years old, was driving a 1998 Ford Ranger northbound when it veered off the left side of the roadway. According to a Missouri Highway Patrol Report about the accident, she overcorrected at that point, which caused the truck to overturn. Smith was not wearing a seat belt, according to authorities, and was taken to St. Anthony's Hospital by a Big River Ambulance crew. Her truck sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the accident scene.

Auto Accident Injures Two

The driver of a Chevy Trailblazer overturned off an exit ramp near Williams Road and Interstate 44 in Eureka on Sunday evening. The driver and passenger were transported to St. John's Medical Center.

Two St. Louis residents were injured Sunday when the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer they were in traveled off the south side of the exit ramp of Williams Road to Interstate 44 in Eureka at 5:55 p.m. The sport utility vehicle overturned, according to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, who handled the accident. Trooper Q. Dinovi, of Highway Patrol Troop C, indicated in the report that the driver was Marcus Curry, 21. A passenger, Valeriya Nerouch, is 20 years old. Curry was transported by ambulance to St. John's Medical Center in Creve Coeur. Nerouch was transported by Arch Air Medical Service to St. John's Medical Center as well.
