Rockwood Board Candidates' Forum to be Hosted by League of Women Voters

Rockwood School District is sponsoring a Board of Education candidates' forum this Tuesday, and it will be moderated by League of Women Voters' representatives.

League of Women Voters of St. Louis representatives will moderate a Rockwood School District Board of Education candidates' forum from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at Crestview Middle School, 16025 Clayton Rd., in Ellisville. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization whose members encourage informed and active participation in government. Attendees at Tuesday's event will learn more about the candidates seeking election for the Rockwood School Board by hearing them speak and answer questions in a public forum. This election's candidates are:  Janet Strate, Stephen (Steve) Banton, Loralee Mondl, and Jeffrey Morrell. League of Women Voters Sponsoring Rockwood Candidates Forum

William Brown of Eureka is one of four candidates for the Rockwood School District board of education, which will have two of its seats determined in the April 3 elections.

Eureka and Wildwood residents will have the chance to hear firsthand from Rockwood School District board of education candidates at a forum early next month, district officials announced this week. The event is being sponsored by the League of Women Voters of St. Louis, and will include four candidates competing for two open seats on the board. Incumbent Peggy Devoy and recently-appointed incumbent Geoff Rigabar both indicated they would not be seeking election this spring. Candidates include: In addition to questions developed by the League of Women Voters, those in attendance will have the opportunity to pose their own questions to the candidates. Once the most popular one gets elected, they will become just another "yes-man" for the district and they will proceed to spend taxpayer dollars like a drunken sailor!
