Memorial for Jerry Donovan

Visitation for this U.S. Marine will be held Tuesday at Schrader Funeral Home in Eureka.

Jerry T. Donovan died Friday. He was the husband of the late LaVerne Donovan (nee Boemler). He was the father of Rhonda (David Engel) Donovan and Bryan (Lisa) Donovan. He was the grandfather of Jennifer, Amber, Brendan and Christopher Donovan, and great-grandfather of Landon Schenk. He was the brother of Joseph Donovan and the late William (Doris) Donovan. He served as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church in Eureka. He worked for St. Louis County Water Company for 40 years. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Schrader Funeral Home, 108 N. Central Avenue in Eureka. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Schrader. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial for 3-Year-Old Peter Rothweiler

Visitation for this toddler will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory in Ballwin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday in Wildwood.

Peter James Rothweiler died unexpectedly on Monday at the age of just 3 years old. He was the son of Daniel and Kathleen Rothweiler (nee McKendry), and brother of Nathan and Ryan Rothweiler. He was the grandson of Mike (Pat) Rothweiler and Bob Jr. (Margaret "Jill") McKendry, as well as great grandson of Lorraine Loyet. He also was the nephew of Janice (Keith) Wolters, Richard Rothweiler, David (Mary) Rothweiler, Diana (Ken) Roettger, Robert (JoAnna) Rothweiler and Jonathan Rothweiler; and Robert III (Pam) McKendry, John (Clemencia) McKendry, Meghan (John) Scally. Blevins' Students Jump on Heart Disease Fund Raising

Raising money in an annual Jump Rope for Heart event also provides a special way to remember a fellow Blevins Elementary student of the Eureka community.

Blevins Elementary students in Eureka jumped all over heart disease by participating in the second annual Gus Berry Jump Rope for Heart event. The event celebrates the life of Gus Berry, a former Blevins Elementary student who lost his life in 2010 as a result of heart complications, according to Rockwood School District materials.     In 2011, students jumped rope and raised $5,626 in Berry’s memory. This year, students set their goal one dollar higher. However, with the support of the school community, Blevins Elementary raised $7,304—surpassings its goal by more than $1,500. Memorial for Jeannine ''Penny'' Hicks

Visitation for this Eureka resident will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory in Ballwin.

Jeannine Loretta "Penny" Hicks (nee Robin) died Jan. 27. She had resided in Eureka. She was the wife of the late Raymond Hicks. She was the mother of Daniel (Jean) Hicks, Rebecca DuBois, Patricia (John) Bruns, Joseph and the late David Hicks. She also was grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of two. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway in Ballwin. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Schrader Funeral Home. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery-Labadie. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
