As part of a cooperative and student access program, the University of Missouri - St. Louis works in conjunction withMore the St. Louis Community College - Wildwood campus to offer a select number of classes. The Wildwood campus is one of five such off-site locations in the St. Louis and St. Charles area for UMSL.

University of Missouri - St. Louis faculty offers credit courses at the Wildwood campus of St. Louis Community College for bachelor's degrees in business administration, elementary education and liberal studies. All courses are for three credit hours, and they meet on the semester schedule. A full-time UMSL site coordinator is available Monday through Friday at the Wildwood campus to assist UMSL students.

St. Louis County Police Department -- Wildwood (6th) Precinct

Wildwood residents and businesses are protected by a diverse and highly skilled set of officers and detectivesMore contracted from the St. Louis County Police Department, but working from a station based in the heart of Wildwood.

According to the department's website, in addition to the nearly 40 police officers permanently assigned to the Wildwood Precinct, more than 700 commissioned St. Louis County Police Department officers are available to help address major concerns. St. Louis County Division of Criminal Investigation detectives conduct investigations of felony crimes or any situation as requested by the Wildwood supervisors. All police-related resources available to the St. Louis County Police Department are available to the City of Wildwood.

School resource officers (SROs) stationed at four Rockwood School District buildings -- Lafayette High, LaSalle Springs Middle, Rockwood Valley Middle and Wildwood Middle -- also are within the Wildwood Precinct.

Wildwood police officers are a mainstay at every major city event.  They also reach out to the community through such activities as Mobile Halloween Safety Centers through which officers in additional patrol vehicles hand out glow necklaces or bracelets for child visibility.

True to Wildwood's focus on active lifestyles and nature, the Wildwood Precinct also incorporates officers who patrol from their bicycles.

This "green" campus was intentionally built with environmentally friendly materials and architecture, and is oneMore of four campuses for St. Louis Community College (STLCC) in the St. Louis metropolitan region.  It was the first community college in the Midwest to receive the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental gold level certification. 

The campus offers Associate in Arts degrees in general transfer studies, business administration, communications arts (advertising/public relations option), fine arts/arts education, and an Associate of Arts in teaching. Students also can complete a Certificate of Proficiency or Certificate of Specialization in business administration, take general education courses required for many STLCC degrees and certificate, and complete prerequisites for many allied health degrees offered on other STLCC campuses.

Community members are invited to campus for events, such as a children's Halloween party, the Artists and Apples lecture series, an annual Eco-Festival, and to visit the campus's outdoor sculpture park and walking trails.

The Wildwood campus also serves as a location for events and training sessions for area school districts. Continuing education courses are offered on campus each semester, which provides residents with life-long learning opportunities related to personal and professional development. The Wildwood campus also serves as a satellite site for the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
