It was also recognized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for its students being ranked in the Top 10 in the Missouri Assessment and Planning (MAP) program. It also met the Adequate Yearly Progress standards for all student groups in the 2009 MAP program. In addition, Pond Elementary is a National Blue Ribbon award winner from the U.S. Department of Education for excellence in education, and it received the Missouri Gold Star award on several occasions.
