Visitation for this Wildwood resident will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory in Ballwin, as well as at West County Community Church in Wildwood on Wednesday at 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. funeral service.

Norma Mentel (nee Foster) died Saturday. She was a Wildwood resident. She was the wife of Gene Mentel. She also was the mother of Jan O'Neal of California, Fred (Maria) O'Neal of Maryland, Jeff (Marnie) Mentel and Melissa (Ken) Cella. She was "Nana" (grandmother) of Sean (Samantha) O'Neal, Ava Cella, Caroline Mentel, Landen Cella, Max Mentel, Alexandria Cella and the late Christopher O'Neal and great-nana of Sophia O'Neal. She was the sister of Burnel Foster and the late Dewayne and Gerald Foster. She was the sister-in-law of Sue Foster, Marie Foster, George Mentel, Sylvia Mentel and Dorothy (Bill) Rick. Marian Hammer (nee Diekmann) died Tuesday. She was a Eureka resident. She was the mother of Vicki (Jim) Rademacher, Chris (Christianne) Hammer, B.J. (Michelle) Hammer, Gretchen (Sean) Robinson and the late Deitt Hammer; as well as grandmother of Catrina, Dustin, Eli, Emily, Kaelin, Zeke, Sophia, Taylor, Dylan, Skylar and Alana. Visitation will start at 9 a.m. Thursday at the New Beginnings Lutheran Church, 791 New Beginnings Drive, Pacific, and last until the 1 p.m. funeral service there. John Eugene "Gene" Pedrolie Jr. died Tuesday. He was a Eureka resident. He was the father of Cecelia (Bill) Lowe, Concetta Kubiak, Charlene Pedrolie and John (Amanda) Pedrolie; grandfather of Derrick (Lori) Bockius, Chad (Jamie) Bockius, Kristin Bockius, Andrea (Adam) Harbit, Lisa Mullinax, Logan Pedrolie and Ella Pedrolie; and great-grandfather of Dylan McIntyre, Autumn Hernandez, Alyssa Bockius, Ashley Mullinax, Daniel Harbit, Brooklyn Bockius, Andrew Mullinax, Lucas Harbit, Cooper Bockius, Guilliana Harbit and the late Anna Marie Mullinax. Memorial for Douglas Balzer

A funeral service for this Wildwood resident and former pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church was held Saturday.

Rev. Douglas Balzer died Thursday. He was a Wildwood resident. He was the husband of Michele Balzer; father of Dr. Christian (Dr. Shireen Ghorbani) Balzer and Dr. Alexandra (Dr. Steve Caloudas) Balzer; son of Donald and Gertrude Balzer; and brother of Donna Senechal. He was pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wildwood for 29 years. He joined St. Paul's in 1983, during the congregation's 100th anniversary. Visitation was Friday evening at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway in Ballwin. Memorial for Darrell Bub

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Schrader Funeral Home in Eureka for this Pacific resident who used to serve as the Eureka Postmaster.

Darrell Bub died Monday at age 64 after a long illness and hospitalization. He was a Pacific resident, but served many years as the postmaster for Eureka. He was the husband of Sandra (nee Hatridge). He was the father of Alex (Amanda) Bub and Ted (Lynn) Woeber. He also was the grandfather of Nicole (Dan) Reineri, Ashley Nations and Tyler Pfeifer. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Schrader Funeral Home - Eureka, 108 N. Central Ave. A graveside service at the New Masonic Cemetery in Potosi will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Memorial for James Boyer Jr.

Visitation for this former Monarch Fire Protection District firefighter/paramedic will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Schrader Funeral Homes & Crematory in Ballwin. He was the first St. Louis firefighter to be certified as a paramedic in the city.

Retired Monarch Fire Protection District employee James Boyer Jr. died Monday. He was a 61-year-old resident of Valley Park. He was the husband of Lily Boyer (Hatfalvi); father of Lisa Boyer-Faulkner and Gene Boyer from former wife, Deborah Pepple (Yashuk); step-father of Katelin Utt and Kyle Smith; grandpa to Lisa's children (Kenneth, Nicole, Ian, Emoy and Oceana) and Gene's children (Zeth, Noah, Trey and Corynn); great-grandpa to Cash and Brooklyn; son of the late James Boyer and Reba Mead; and brother to Dan, Marsha, Mark, Myra and Matt. He worked for the Lighting Department of St. Louis, before he began to explore his true passion of being a firefighter/paramedic. Judith "Judy" Henderson (nee Krajewski) died Tuesday. She was a Wildwood resident who was born Sept. 22, 1955 in Hinsdale, IL. She was the wife of Lynn Henderson; mother of Ellyn and Eric; and daughter of John and Dolores Krajewski (nee Noviski). Immediate family includes her brothers:  Cliff and Amy (nee Carroll) Krajewski, Casey and Vilija (nee Dargis) and Paul. She was sister-in-law to Dr. Kent and April Henderson and Jim and Marcia Borel (nee Henderson). Louetta West died Sunday at age 84. She formerly lived in Valley Park but most recently resided in Carrollton, TX. She was the sister of Marjorie A. Williams (nee West), Marie Schafroth (nee West) and Shirley M. West, the late Thomas K. West Jr. and Barbara J. Smith (nee West). She is the daughter of the late Thomas Kelsey West Sr. and Emma Alice West (nee Small). She retired from SouthWestern Bell in 1983. She spent many months in her mountain cabin in Cuchara, CO.
