My first impression was that the school was gorgeous, which it is, the teachers were top notch, which they aren't, the food was nutritious, which nothing could be further from the truth. Yes, the chair are $100 each, and the garden is great. The toddler teacher was terrible. We were forced to be in her class, because the other is more desirable. The director, Mary Denise, lied and told us there were no spaces. There were. They save them for people who are already there, or if you have 2 or more children there. The more you spend, the more power you have. We were told we could switch at the start of the new year. This time we asked the 2 assistants in the other room if there was space. They confirmed there were 2 spaces, and 2 children were leaving, so we could definitely get in. We went and asked to switch, b/c the toddler teacher forgot our sons birthday, only gave him work that wouldn't mess up the class, NEVER once told us anything about our son, never was there when we picked him up and told us, "she didn't have enough time to work with him one on one during a day." There were only 8 children with a teacher and 2 assistants. She said that Montessori is all about being independent. AS FOR FOOD, it DOESN'T get worse than this school. Don't take my word, check the kitchen. I was refused the right to look at the labels. When I asked her why, she said, " If you don't like it, this is who we are. We are not going to change! SO, we changed schools.
