This church serves functions as the meeting house for two local congregations named Rockwood ward 1 and ward 2. Its main doctrine is about the concept of having the restored gospel of Jesus Christ on Earth today. They believe that the Bible and the Book of Mormon work hand-in-hand as testaments of Jesus Christ. As their two mainstays, they also believe the two books are the word of God. 

Mormons worldwide considered the Book of Mormon among their most prized possessions, especially through how it relates to peace as human beings and eternal happiness. These two wards host several social events throughout the year to which the public is invited.
