Speaker Tim Jones Announces Listening, Policy Tour Across Missouri

Next week, speaker Tim Jones will be meeting with voters, media and leaders across the state to discuss legislative issues for upcoming 2013 session.

We have a great, four-day, 20-city tour taking place Dec. 10 through Dec. 13. On this tour, we will speak to voters, as well as community and business leaders across Missouri to obtain their input about the important issues facing Missouri.

I also will conduct numerous media interviews along the route so all Missouri voters can be informed regarding the challenges and potential solutions confronting their state legislature.

An initial schedule is as follows. A more detailed schedule will be available late
this week.

Monday, December 10

8:30 a.m. - Perryville

Meet and greet with former Speaker Steve Tilley at "Hoeckle's Bakery"

10:15 a.m. - Cape Girardeau

Meet and greet at "My Daddy's Cheesecake Café"

12:00 p.m. - Sikeston

Meet and greet at "Carnell's Collision"

Tuesday, December 11

Editor's Note:  Jones was elected to the House in November 2006 and subsequently re-elected in 2008, 2010 and 2012. He was unanimously elected as Speaker in September for the remaining months of the 2012 session, and already was chosen as Speaker-Elect for the 2013-2014 General Assembly. He serves as Representative for the 110th District, which includes portions of Franklin and St. Louis Counties. Jones is an attorney, and currently resides in Eureka with his wife, Suzanne, and two daughters.

Alright, I've inquired with the Wildwood's planning and public work's director and received someRead More answers. It's not being used by MoDOT nor are there any solid plans to develop it in the near future. His guess was that the property owner is farming it to obtain a lesser property tax assessment.
