Speaker-Elect Tim Jones Endorses Todd Akin for U.S. Senate

"I would like to congratulate Congressman Akin on his win in yesterday's primary election."

Congressman Akin is a true conservative, and I would like to offer him my full support in his campaign against out-of-touch Senator Claire McCaskill.

The records of Congressman Akin and Senator McCaskill present voters with a very clear choice in November.

We are at a key inflection point in our nation's history and it is time for every Missourian to consider the stark contrast between Todd Akin and Claire McCaskill. Congressman Akin has consistently led on conservative issues, standing up for our individual freedoms, working to reduce and limit the size and scope of government, and voting on multiple occasions to end and defund ObamaCare.

Senator McCaskill, however, has served as little more than a rubber stamp for the Obama agenda. She voted for ObamaCare, supported the wasteful stimulus program, and has on many occasions voted against efforts to stop harmful EPA rules that would discourage energy independence and raise utility rates.

Missouri families are suffering because Senator McCaskill has been unwavering in her support of the Obama agenda. Clearly, Senator McCaskill is out of touch with our state. It is time for us to elect a true conservative, dedicated leader and public servant like Todd Akin to be our next United States Senator.

Representative Jones,
Thank you for posting this endorsement of Congressman Akin to the Patch. I'd like to humbly ask both you and Congressman Akin about your positions on the following issues: 1. Climate Change Adaptation: How do you intend to prepare our state and it's citizens for the increasingly dangerous threats to life and property due to the changing climate? 2. Economy: Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation are likely to be the areas of greatest economic growth in the near future. What actions can you take to help secure Missouri position as a world leader in climate change adaptation and mitigation business opportunities? Your reponses to these questions will go along way towards securing my vote as well as others that are concerned about Missouri's future economic growth and about leaving our children with a hospitable climate system. Please see my blog series on Global Warming/Climate Change at the link below for more information on the issue. http://eureka-wildwood.patch.com/blog_posts/global-warmingclimate-change-post-6-of-13-on-our-watch Thank you both for your service to our state, Regards, Larry Lazar

I'm afraid of anyone running for public office who claims that God was behind his/her victory. Mr. Akin claimed divine intervention in his acceptance speech. Did God choose you too, Mr. Jones? Or is Mr. Akin the only privileged soul. Just curious. Thanks!
