Polo offers gift to Dad and nature
Here's a great Father's Day gift idea that's also a gift to nature: Take your Dad to see the St. Louis Polo Club's match this Saturday. In addition to seeing one of the fastest, most powerful sports that exists, you'll be helping the Endangered Wolf Center's mission of preserving, protecting and reintroducing to the wild some of the world's most endangered species of wolves. The charity polo match to benefit the Endangered Wolf Center is from 3 to 6 p.m. June 15 at the Blue Heron Farms Polo Club, located at 4020 Benne Road in Defiance. General admission is just $25 a carload. VIP tickets are available for just $50 a person, and include a reserved seating area with elevated views, catering and complimentary adult beverages for those over age 21. There will be tasty food, an antique car show, a photo booth and lots of activities for kids. The public will also have a chance to meet and talk with the players, photograph them and get autographs. The Endangered Wolf Center is located in Eureka, off Interstate 44's Exit 269. It offers public daytime tours and evening events, which are available by calling 636-938-5900. More information about tours and the polo match is available by calling the Center at 636-938-5900 or on the Center's website www.endangeredwolfcenter.org
