Pujols' New Statute Points the Way
Hundreds of St. Louis Cardinals and Albert Pujols fans turned out to see the unveiling of the Harry Weber sculpture at Westport Plaza in Maryland Heights; new statue emphasizes all-star's devotion to God.
Albert Pujols said he points to the sky every time he hits a home run to remind himself and others that he seeks to glorify God.
That's the pose an anonymous donor selected for a 10-foot, 1,100 pound bronze sculpture. The donor commissioned artist Harry Weber for the sculpture.
Hundreds of fans turned out to Westport Wednesday for the unveiling, attended by the Pujols family, Cardinals Hall of Famer Lou Brock, Weber and others. The event was emceed by KTRS' McGraw Milhaven.

Westport Plaza is home to Pujols' restaurant, Pujols 5 Westport Grill, and the Pujols Family Foundation office.
