Lafayette Swimmers, Divers Take First
This weekend at the Marquette Relays meet, Lafayette High swimmers broke some records, and oh yes, along with the divers, brought home first place.
Lafayette High School divers and swimmers won the Marquette Relays on Friday and Saturday with a score of 268 points, edging out the next highest score by 24 points. This meet was held in Chesterfield.
The following swimmers are coached by Todd Gabel and the diver are coached by Vicki Palmer.

Boys Diving Relay 3rd Place >> Patrick Lee, Ty McLean (Wildwood), Michael Porter (Ellisville)

Boys 200 Freestyle Relay 1st Place >> Lucas Bruder (Wildwood), Connor Parsons (Wildwood), Josh Dominato (Chesterfield), Alec Morgan (Wildwood)
Boys 600 Yard Medley Relay 2nd Place >> Jon Glaser, Jeremy Bruder, Lucas Bruder — all of Wildwood
Boys 900 Yard Progression Relay 1st Place and MEET RECORD BREAKERS >> Alec Morgan, Jon Glaser, Patrick Vega (all of Wildwood). The same three boys set the Marquette Relay Meet Record in 2010. During Friday's preliminaries, they broke their own record with a time of 8:17.99. Then during finals, they broke it again with a time of 8:14.24!
