Rock Hollow Rails and Trails Adventure

This Saturday adventure could prove to be very pleasant and rewarding, if Mother Nature cooperates! Great Rivers Greenway, the City of Wildwood, Gateway Off-Road Cyclists, Trailnet, the Alpine Shop, and the Wabash Frisco and Pacific Railroad are partnering to organize a twelve (12) mile bike adventure, or 8.5 mile hike (or 4.5 mile hike, if you take the train on the return trip), or just ride the train for the entire tour. The hope is to catch the wild flowers blooming on the Rock Hollow Trail, which, if you have never seen the Blue Bells in bloom, it is a magnificent experience!

While it all depends on the weather conditions between now and April 2 for the flowers, even if they are not ready to bloom, it will still be a great day to be outdoors! So make your plans to be there! The event is free, unless you choose the railroad for your transportation, which requires a small $4.00 donation, and it is a great way of "seeing the sites!"

Registration for the event is between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. at the Wabash Frisco and Pacific Railroad, which located at the Al Foster Memorial Trailhead, 199 Grand Avenue, Wildwood, MO 63038.
