Harvest Moon Walk & 5k Run

Lace up your running shoes and get out the flashlight!  The Eureka Project is hosting the St. Louis area’s only 5k Night Run on Saturday October 22nd at 7:00 p.m.  The race will begin and end in Legion Park during the City of Eureka’s New Harvest Moon Festival.

In addition to the race, the Eureka Project will be holding a large book sale during the festival.  The Harvest Moon Book Sale will be from 2:00pm to 8:00 p.m. at the Eureka Community Center in Legion Park.  Box up your hardback and paperback books and drop them off at the Eureka Chamber of Commerce Saturday, October 15th from 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m and October 17th thru 21st from 9:00a.m.-4:30p.m.

Pick up your 5k Night Run registration forms after September 1st at the Eureka Chamber Office or the Eureka Hills Branch Library.  Registration forms will also be available at the Eureka Chamber tent during Eureka Days.

Both events benefit the Eureka Project, a newly established grass roots group created to promote and support the building of a new full service Eureka Library.

The Harvest Moon Festival, hosted by the City of Eureka, will feature family friendly attractions, vendors, hayrides, and entertainment.  A bonfire and pep rally for Eureka High School senior athletes will conclude this fun-filled festival!
