Green Rock Trail Challenge

June 4, 2011 is National Trails Day, and that means it is time for the Green Rock Trail Challenge!

This event features a challenging hike on a gorgeous trail, and makes for an incredible day! Do we have your interest? The Green Rock Trail Challenge is a 7 mile hiking adventure that begins in Rockwood Reservation and ends in Greensfelder Park.

The morning starts with all participants meeting at the Muckerman Shelter in Greensfelder Park (4515 Hencken Road) at 7:15 a.m.   A light breakfast will be served at the shelter, and then hikers will be bussed to Rockwood Reservation, where the hike will begin. If you have not experienced the Green Rock Trail, you're in for a great adventure. The hike will end back at the Muckerman Shelter in Greensfelder, where the morning's adventure can be discussed over a fantastic lunch!
