Eureka Softball Team Plays for Championship
Thursday evening, Eureka High girls' varsity softball players square off against the Parkway South team to decide the 2011 Suburban South/West Conference Softball Tournament Champion.
Per prior Patch coverage, 16 area girls' softball teams have been playing this week in a large high school tournament at the Chesterfield Athletic Association complex.

Wednesday, and Oakville teams played each other in the next round of competition, with Eureka coming out on top 11-2.
On Thursday evening at 7 p.m. the Eureka team will play the high-caliber Parkway South team for the championship slot. Note that this game originally was scheduled to be played at 5 p.m., and the time was changed this afternoon.

Parkway South 5, Lindbergh 2
Eureka 11, Oakville 2
Northwest won vs. Webster (score not reported to tournament coordinator)
Parkway North 6, Fox 3
Marquette 8, Seckman 3
Rockwood Summit won vs. Lafayette (score not reported to tournament coordinator).
Lafayette 5, Seckman 4, giving Lafayette 7th place.
Notes:
- Lindbergh and Oakville play Thursday evening for third place.
- Marquette and Summit play Thursday evening for fifth place.
