Eureka Legion Baseball Clinches District Title

Post 177 also won the regular-season title and will play in the Zone playoffs in Jackson, Mo., this weekend.

Eureka emerged triumphant from a close battle with Creve Coeur to take the title of champ in the American Legion District 10 tournament in an exciting series of games over the weekend.

The win put Post 177, which also won the regular-season title, at 32-12 for the year and is the club's first post-season title since 2010. They are now headed to the Zone playoffs in Jackson, Mo., this weekend.

Eureka and Creve Coeur first played on Saturday, with Eureka winning 11-2. However, it was a double elimination tournament, so they faced off again on Sunday.

Creve Coeur took the first game, edging out Eureka 4-3 in 10 innings, setting up a winner-take-all third match later that day, which Eureka won 8-7
