Baseball Player Stabilizes After Skateboarding Accident

Michael Bigogno, a Drury University baseball player from Eureka, is recovering post-surgery from head trauma received in a skateboarding accident Saturday evening in Springfield. Coach Mark Stratton keeps us in touch.

Drury University baseball coach Mark Stratton promised to update the community this week about Michael Bigogno's condition after the baseball outfielder received surgery for head trauma suffered when he fell from a skateboard Saturday evening in Springfield, and he kept his word.

Stratton stated in an email to Patch that while Bigogno is still in critical condition, his temperature has stabilized and his skin color has "much improved."

He said the pressure and swelling from the head trauma Bigogno experienced continues to decrease.
