Baseball College Students Head to World Series

Former Eureka and Wildwood high school graduates who play on the Jefferson College Viking baseball team today headed to Colorado for the NJCAA World Series.

Three local high school graduates are among the Jefferson College Viking baseball team members who left today to go play in the NJCAA World Series (National Junior College Athletics Association) in Grand Junction, CO. They are:  Josh Herrick, a alum, as well as Nathan Goro and Tyler Boraz, alums.

Eureka-Wildwood Patch reader Michelle Herrick said it was only the second time in the college's history that the team has qualified to go. "Only 10 teams in the whole country compete."

Information about the World Series can be found online. For more information about the baseball team, click here and go to "athletics" logo on the righthand side of the web page and then to the "baseball" function key near the top of the web page.
