Senior Night for Eureka Baseball

Wildcats recognize seniors with a BIG win over Oakville!

Here goes my first blog. I hope it will be fun for all to see everything great we are doing at Eureka High School!

We will start with the Boy's Baseball Team, recognizing their seniors this week. The baseball game started off with a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled banner by Eureka Choir Director Donna Baker and her students, followed by the introduction of the seniors.

  • No. 8, Frank Baumann, Outfielder:  Frank has had an offer to play baseball with academic scholarship, but has not made a commitment. He plans on pursuing a degree in business marketing.
  • No. 11, Chase Bollinger, Pitcher and Outfielder:  Chase has received an academic and athletic scholarship at the University of Central Missouri, where he will play football this fall.
  • No. 15, Nick Jacobs, 2nd base and Pitcher:  Nick will be attending Florida State University (may I please add, GO NOLES!) this fall and majoring in marketing.
  • No. 16, Austin Lewis, Pitcher:  Austin received an A+ Scholarship and will be attending this fall to study business administration and music.
  • No. 23, Tanner McKay, 1st Base:  Tanner will be attending college in the fall and will pursue playing baseball.
  • No. 13, Andy McNeel, Catcher:  Andy will strap on the Red and Black and head to Southeast Missouri State University next fall.
  • No. 4, Ben Weeks, OutfielderBen earned the A+ scholarship and will be majoring in sports medicine.

Great kids with promising futures ahead ~ Not to mention, the night was capped off with a big win against Oakville...15-5.  Congrats to Coach Daffron and team for a great season! Districts start Saturday with the Cats taking on Marquette at Marquette~
