seniors Savya Hingorani and Nathan Vorel were selected to serve on the inaugural Student Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
In addition to receiving letters of recommendations, applicants were required to write an essay stating why they should be chosen. Hingorani and Vorel are among 12 students from the St. Louis area selected to serve on this board, according to a announcement.
By participating in this program, Hingorani and Vorel will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers while enhancing their understanding of the central banking system and monetary policy.
C.J. Herbert, an advanced placement economics teacher at Eureka High, described Hingorani and Vorel as outstanding students. “Savya and Nathan are bright students who have an interest in economics,” stated Herbert in the announcement.
“Their ability to communicate effectively and their commitment to responsibility will allow them to add value to Student Board of Directors.”
