Roslyn L. Schulte Memorial Senior Girls Lacrosse All Star Game to be Held

This Wednesday night lacrosse game will be played in the memory of former Burroughs star who lost her life while on duty in Afghanistan. Three Lafayette High and one Eureka High school players to participate.

Local girls lacrosse is taking a step forward. This Wednesday night, at 6 p.m. at Mary Institute Country Day School local officials will hold the first ever all-star game for girls. Players from and schools are participating.

This game is being organized by Judith Anderson, lacrosse coach at Ursuline Academy. The game is dedicated to the memory of Roz Schulte. Roz was an enthusiastic player at John Burroughs. She went on to graduate from the Air Force Academy and died in combat in Afghanistan.


Officials will present a memorial plaque to Bob and Suzie Shulte. Bob Penke who also attended the Air Force Academy will present the plaque prior to the game.

This event will be known as the Roslyn L. Schulte Memorial Senior Girls Lacrosse All Star Game.

StickStop donated jerseys for the game. There is no admission charge for this event.

It's not being used by MoDOT nor are there any solid plans to develop it in the near future. His guess was that the property owner is farming it to obtain a lesser property tax assessment.
