ROSE Recipients Revealed

Eight of the 15 ROSE recipients for this year's Rockwood School District award program are from Wildwood or Eureka schools.

Here's to online congratulatory roses to all of the following 2012 ROSE recipients. ROSE represents "Rockwood Outstanding Service in Education" annual award program. This award is given to community leaders who show excellence of character, performance, leadership and service.

. Fifteen recipients then were selected by a 17-member committee.

Eight of this year's 15 recipients are from Eureka- or Wildwood-based schools:

  • Nicole Ballard Long, teacher,
  • Lisa Friederich, classroom assistant,
  • Sheila Jones, parent volunteer,
  • Mimi Levy, teacher,
  • Maureen Smith, teacher,
  • Jennifer Strauser, administrator,
  • Bergen Toth, teacher,
  • Anna Marie White, teacher,

A ROSE award ceremony for recipients and their families and friends will be conducted May 6 at 4 p.m. at the Doubletree-Westport hotel.
