Rockwood Board of Education President Bill Brown confirmed with Patch the district signed a separation agreement with Borchers, who has been with Rockwood since 2010.

Rockwood Board of Education directors will accept Borchers' resignation at Thursday's (April 18) board meeting.

Borchers’ last day in Rockwood is set for June 7, according to a district spokesperson.

Brown stated in a district announcement Tuesday:  “Selecting a superintendent is our most important job, and we take that responsibility very seriously. We will exercise due diligence in securing the most qualified superintendent we can find to ensure we move forward with our mission of doing whatever it takes for all students. On behalf of the Board, I extend our best wishes to Dr. Borchers and wish him much success in this new endeavor.”

Brown also noted the directors will discuss options and preliminary plans for replacing Borchers at Thursday’s meeting.
