Rockwood District Finance Department Shuffling Settles
Right before school begins on Aug. 14, the last of Rockwood School District roles have been filled in the district's finance department.
Carl Mertens was just named the coordinator of financial reporting for .
For the last five years, Mertens served as an accounting coordinator for Saint Patrick Center in St. Louis. Prior to this, he served two years as an accountant at Saint Patrick Center and completed a tax internship with W. Stephan Morovitz, PC, in St. Louis.
Mertens earned bachelor’s degrees in both accounting and business administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He also attained his license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
