New Rockwood Board Of Education Directors Inducted

Rockwood School District welcomes two new Board of Education directors, as well as elects officers and committee members at Thursday's board meeting.

Although two new directors were sworn into the at Thursday's Board of Education meeting at Crestview Middle School in Ellisville, newly elected board officers remain unchanged from the previous roles held.

New directors, Bill Brown, of , and Sherri Rogers, of Chesterfield, were sworn in by Rockwood Superintendent Bruce Borchers.

Both directors received training binders and orientation procedures. Board members took turns reading aloud the district's code of ethics at the meeting.

Rockwood Board of Education officers elected Thursday were:

  • President—Janet Strate
  • Vice President—Matt Doell
  • Secretary—Kathy Chitwood
  • Treasurer—Tim Rooney

New board committee assignments are as follows:

The Black Leadership Roundtable will be served by Keith Kinder. The Cooperating School District will be served by Steve Banton. Missouri School Board delegates will be Keith Kinder, Sherri Rogers and Steve Banton. The Special School District Governing Council will be served by Janet Strate, with Steve Smith as an alternate member.

Rockwood's Chief Communications Officer Kim Cranston said the district just received the official April 3 election results on Thursday. Results regarding board directors were as follows:
