LaSalle Springs Middle Named School of Character

Another Rockwood School District school becomes a 2013 Missouri School of Character.

LaSalle Springs Middle, along with Chesterfield Elementary, were two Rockwood School District schools named 2013 Missouri Schools of Character. These schools are two of only 15 schools in the state to earn a Missouri School of Character Award from the Character Education Partnership

State Schools of Character are ones whose staff and students demonstrated a focus on character development that led to positive impacts on academic achievement, student behavior and school climate.

“These schools have worked hard to earn this distinction, and we’re excited for them to be recognized as a state model for school climate,” said Jane Brown, Rockwood's director of differentiated services in a district announcement.

With LaSalle Springs and Chesterfield earning this distinction, Rockwood now has 13 schools named Missouri Schools of Character. Click here to learn about the overall Character Education achievements in various Rockwood schools.
