Rockwood School District’s notification system is used to alert parents about school district cancellations and crisis situations. All parent contact information comes from Infinite Campus, the district’s student information system.

How the emergency test call will work
A voice message will be sent to all parent phone numbers – home, cell and work – at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17. If a parent does not receive this call, they need to contact their school and share any updates to their phone numbers. Read the test message from Dr. Borchers.
New: Text messaging available
Rockwood is implementing text messaging for parents. On Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., parents will receive a text message advising them that the phone will receive text messages in the future – unless they want to “opt-out” of the text service. To opt-out, simply text STOP RSD or QUIT RSD to 23117 or 63079 – after you receive the text confirmation. Learn more about text messaging.
Important reminders about automated phone calls
Parents receive two types of information:
Emergency Messages—District Voice messages will be delivered to all phone numbers identified in the student system, including all parent household, cell and work phone numbers. Types of calls include the following: 1) school cancellations for inclement weather the day of school closings and 2) crisis notifications for district/school emergencies, such as a school evacuation.
Outreach Messages—School Informational voice messages will be delivered to two phone numbers: 1) the primary cell phone and the 2) secondary cell phone listed in Infinite Campus. Types of calls include: 1) school cancellations for inclement weather the evening before a school closing and 2) general, school-specific announcements.
